Probability Calibrator overhaul + luck factory logistics + smoother late-game inserters
Greetings Operators,
This patch adds a new building, the Probability Calibrator! Lookout for Weird-looking Crystals and refine them into Weird-looking Dust. It will improve "Luck" for all future level up rolls.
Highlights
- New luck-production chain: Weird-looking Crystal appears near the map edge, gets refined into Weird-looking Dust, and powers the Probability Calibrator
- Probability Calibrators use coal as fuel, build luck on a live bar on the Interface, and improve the rarity of your future CPU upgrade rolls

Improvements / quality of life
- Holding left-click while moving with
WASDnow keeps drag placement going, which makes long belt and building runs much less stop-and-start - Miners, smelters, factories, and Probability Calibrators now show smooth progress bars and live per-second output in their inspect panels, it will help you calculate ratio!
Balance changes
- Removed the Luck choice for the CPU Upgrade as we have the Proba Calibrator now.
Bug fixes
Gameplay
- Building or pasting the same structure over a damaged machine now repairs it
- Miners no longer get an accidental ore burst when their coal buffer is topped up mid-cycle
- Inserter filters now work across belts, machines, turrets, and collectors, which gives you much tighter control over dust and fuel routing
UI
- Factory recipe selection now uses a dropdown, which fits much better now that recipe and filter UIs are starting to converge
- Building inspect panels now sit closer to the selected structure instead of floating too high above it
- Machine inspect panels are more compact, with inline percentages, cleaner fuel sections, and production rate shown where it matters, which is especially useful now that calibrators have both fuel and luck throughput to track
- Coal-powered machines now drain fuel smoothly while working instead of stepping down in chunky jumps
- Repairing by rebuilding now shows the same resource cost popup as the repair tool
Audio
- Restarting a run now clears the previous battle properly, including the stuck combat music case
- Sound Effects for the Factory and the Probability Calculator
- CLAIRE now has an extra zombie DNA tutorial line plus a congratulations line at the end of the tutorial
Known issues
- Zombie Slow is temporarily disabled while I rework it, so it will not appear in CPU upgrade picks for now

This is the first patch where the Probability Calibrator feels like the first brick of a proper roguelite economy to me, and I want to keep building on that. CLAIRE (on behalf of me, Enzed ;))
